With the support of our members this past year, the Women's Fund of Mississippi awarded $60,000 in social change grantmaking. And this is just the beginning. We understand that women are the cornerstone of a safe, just, and healthy society. We see women as experts and solution-builders who can lead whole communities to security, not as victims or passive recipients. Quite simply, when women are economically secure, families and communities are economically secure.
Membership Benefits
Membership in the Women's Fund begins at $100 per year (that's $8.33 a month!). By becoming a member, you will be informed of upcoming events and educational opportunities but, more importantly, you will be connected to a group of smart, talented, visionary women and men who want to make Mississippi a place where all women and girls can thrive. With your help, Mississippi will no longer be ranked the "worst state for women."
Men's Membership Group
Are you a man who "gets it"? Are you a man who views "women's issues" as community issues and, most importantly, understand that when women move forward, the entire community moves with them? If you're a man who is ready to be bold, join the Men's Membership Group within the Women's Fund. All membership raised by men will go towards a domestic violence-related grant in the fall. The Women's Fund pools your resources as philanthropists: $1,000 becomes $10,000 and $100,000. We tap into the financial power of every donor -- from the $1 donor to the $25,000 donor -- to promote change for generations to come. The Women's Fund ensures that grant recipients will be good stewards of the grant money. We research nonprofits, require comprehensive proposals, and have an independent grant review committee that makes grant decisions. By supporting the Women's Fund, you are building the capacity of nonprofits and philanthropy in the state of Mississippi.
