The Women's Fund was created by the Community Foundation of Greater Jackson in 2002 and publicly launched in 2003 with the dual purpose of educating metro Jackson area women about philanthropy and addressing the needs of women and children in Hinds, Madison and Rankin Counties. It hosts regular Lunch and Learns where area women and the general public can come and enjoy lunch while learning about the needs of area women and children.
The Women's Fund operates as part of the Community Foundation of Greater Jackson, a non-profit foundation chartered in 1994 to foster philanthropic giving in Central Mississippi, specifically in Hinds, Madison and Rankin Counties. Today, the Foundation holds $18 million in charitable assets and has disbursed more than $16 million in grants since inception. For more information on the Foundation, please call 601-974-6044.
