A $30,000 grant from the Women’s Funding Network’s Venture Fund enabled the Women’s Fund to hire its first full-time staff person, Director Carol Penick. Carol and a committee led by steering committee member, Jackie Bailey, are hard at work raising major gifts from women in the community. Other goals of the Venture Fund Grant are to increase membership in the Women’s Fund among young women and women of color.
